Saptaparni Foundation

Welcome to

Saptaparni Foundation

“Saptaparni” is a Gaushala sculptured by a handful of families. The Gaushala forms the pivot around which these families try to reconnect with nature, adapt to the traditional way of living and explore the wisdom of our ancient texts and Vedas.
The Gaushala comprises of Desi Gir Cows sourced from the Gir Forests in Junagadh District, Gujarat. A Yagnashala built under the guidance of the Sankara Gurukula Veda Patashala is also a part of the complex. Our endeavour to improve the green cover is a continuous process.
The project aims to provide absolute freedom, comfort and high quality nutrition to the Gaumatas. Out of the twenty acre land acquired, ten acres is earmarked exclusively for the cultivation of grass. The Gaumatas are never tied to a post but allowed to wander in freedom and conference at will.
The purity of the Gaushala is sacrosanct. The grass is cultivated under expert supervision, while the other feed components are carefully sourced and formulated in our own complex. We do not wish to barter quality for economic viability (ready mixes of doubtful composition, purchase of grass from unknown sources, booster doses to increase productivity etc. are not on our agenda).

" Reconnect with nature,
Rediscover the wisdom of ancient texts,
Reaffirm the warmth of human relations! "
